STATE OF EMERGENCY EXTENDED

In an announcement distributed by the Government’s Press Secretariat on the 8th April, 2022 at 3.39pm, the Government has issued the extension of the State of Emergency commencing on the 11th April until the 08th May, 2022.

The signed proclamation, dated 8th of April 2022 reads:

“I, Tuimaleali’ifano Vaaletoa Sualauvi II, Head of State of the Independent State of Samoa, after consultation with Cabinet as set out in FK(22) 12, am satisfied that a grave emergency exists whereby the security or economic life of Samoa is threatened by a catastrophe and therefore, PROCLAIM that a: STATE OF EMERGENCY is in force in Samoa and will continue and is extended from 11th April 2022 until 8th May 2022.”
